Carolyn Anderson, DMin Candidate and Director of the Seminary Singers Choir, is a musical treasure, with the special ability to hear and express songs in real time. Classically trained, she uses that as a solid foundation for improvisation and exploration.
After Floyd Thompkins of the Applied Wisdom Institute joined her to lead worship one day, the two had a conversation that prompted the application of her talent to creating O Mary Don’t You Weep, a conference on mental health and worship running August 7th through 9th. For $35 per day, attendees will learn how music connects people in worship and helps to include those who face mental health challenges.
It is an extraordinary, timely event to resource and support anyone working in the intersection of the arts and mental health. Carolyn’s vision spurred it forward.
